Meet the NPTO Executive Board

The North PTO Executive Board is made up of parent volunteers who work together to support our students, staff, and school community. From planning our Husky Quest fundraiser to organizing events, funding programs, and showing appreciation to our teachers, we’re here to make North an even better place to learn and grow.

Have an idea? Want to get involved? We’d love to hear from you — and we always have room at the table. Come sit with us!

Word from our Board

My name is Mary van Opstal, and I am excited to serve as NPTO President for my second year. Our board is now seven members strong: Mandy Zurn, Tammy Zwolinek, Maria Cides, Anne Smith, Karen Lara, and Emily Gryzlak, along with myself.

Last year we had an incredible year of community, with record numbers of volunteers and fundraising support. Highlights included a successful Soccer Night, musical, roller skating night and our Husky Quest fundraiser. Every grade had at least one experience or field trip and we supported the teachers. Each of these events brought families together and created lasting memories. This year, we’re looking forward to our Husky Quest fundraiser, more family nights, and seeing parents in the school to support classrooms with so many events like reading, teacher appreciation and teacher support.

Every parent is part of NPTO, and your involvement—whether through volunteering, sharing ideas, or supporting events—helps make our school community thrive. It is only possible to support our kids and teachers through the efforts of our volunteers and the success of our fundraising. We look forward to another year of building friendships and supporting our students and teachers together!
